Gallringsåtgärder

Gallringsåtgärder, also known as gallbladder removal or cholecystectomy, is a surgical procedure aimed at removing the gallbladder. The gallbladder is a small organ located beneath the liver that stores bile, a substance produced by the liver to aid in the digestion of fats. Gallstones, which are hardened deposits of bile, can form within the gallbladder and cause symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting. Gallringsåtgärder is typically recommended when gallstones cause persistent symptoms or when there is a high risk of complications such as gallbladder cancer.

The procedure can be performed using various techniques, including open surgery, laparoscopic surgery, and endoscopic surgery.
