GG45
GG45, short for GigaGate 45, is a high-performance modular connector system used for shielded copper cabling in Ethernet networks. Developed in the late 1990s and early 2000s to support higher data rates, GG45 was associated with Category 7/7A cabling and the move toward 10 Gigabit Ethernet over twisted-pair cabling.
The GG45 interface uses a distinct eight-position plug and corresponding jacks designed to improve signal integrity
Applications and compatibility: GG45 is typically deployed with GG45-compliant outlets and patch cords on shielded twisted-pair
Performance and usage: When paired with suitable cabling (such as Class FA/Category 7A), GG45 supports 10GBASE-T
Standards and legacy: GG45 is part of the family of modular connectors designed for screened copper cabling
