Fördelningsförhållandet, often translated as distribution ratio or partition coefficient, is a concept used in chemistry and other sciences to describe how a substance divides itself between two immiscible phases. This ratio is typically determined when a solute is dissolved in a solvent and then mixed with another immiscible solvent. The substance will distribute itself between the two solvent layers until equilibrium is reached.
