Földszigetelés, often translated as earth insulation or ground insulation, refers to techniques used to insulate buildings from the ground. This is crucial for preventing heat loss downwards and upwards through the floor, as well as for controlling moisture. In colder climates, the ground beneath a building can act as a significant heat sink, drawing warmth away from the interior spaces. There are several common methods for achieving effective földszigetelés. One approach involves insulating the slab of a foundation directly.
