Fétiss

Fétiss is a French heavy metal band formed in 2007 in Grenoble, France. The group's music style is often classified as melodic death metal, symphonic metal, and power metal.

Fétiss released their debut album, "Dans les bras de Nilaseth", in 2007, which received a positive response from metallers and fans in the French underground scene. However, the band's increasing popularity and numerous local concerts failed to seal their place in the mainstream.

As of 2015, the band had released three full-length albums - "Dans les bras de Nilaseth", "Maelstrom" (2009), and "Hyperion" (2012). Fétiss underwent numerous lineup changes, with vocalist Thierry cervoise being the sole constant member.

Critics noted Fétiss' sound for its conducive blend of '80s American and European heavy metal traditions. Fétiss has cited bands such as Iron Maiden, Yngwie Malmsteen, and Symphony X as influential to their music.

Initially, Fétiss played relatively minor gigs in low-key venues. It was not until they began touring extensively across French cities that they gained significant visibility and reputation among metal enthusiasts.

Although specifying their impact on the global metal scene is arduous, they enjoy local acclaim due to energetic performances, rigorous touring, and successful crowd interaction.
