Fußballfeld
A Fußballfeld is a football pitch, the playing area for association football. It is a rectangular field surrounded by boundary lines, with a goal area at each end. The European standard for an international match, set by the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), requires a playing area between 100 and 110 meters long and 64 to 75 meters wide. The dimensions can vary for non-international matches, typically ranging from 90 to 110 meters in length and 45 to 90 meters in width. Field markings include a center line, center circle with a 9.15‑meter radius, penalty areas, goal areas, and a penalty spot 11 meters from each goal line. The playing surface may be natural grass, synthetic turf, or a hybrid surface. Grass pitches are favoured for senior competitions, while synthetic surfaces are common in lower‑league, youth, and indoor venues.
The concept of a standardized pitch dates back to the codification of football rules in the 19th
