Freeformed

In music and performance, freeform implies improvisation, nonstandard structures, or open-ended programs. In crafts such as freeform crochet or knitting, practitioners build textures and forms without a fixed pattern. In media and broadcasting, freeform radio or content may assign playlists or topics more fluidly, without fixed formats.

Because it emphasizes process over prescription, freeformed work can be praised for creativity and spontaneity, or criticized for lack of coherence or planning.
