Frederikstad
Frederikstad is a city located in Ostfold county, Norway. It is situated on the eastern side of the Oslofjord, approximately 60 kilometers (37 miles) southeast of Oslo. The city was founded in 1567 by King Frederick II of Denmark and Norway, after which it was named. Frederikstad is known for its well-preserved fortified old town, Gamlebyen, which is one of the best-preserved Scandinavian fortresses.
