Forbrugerrådet is a Danish consumer organization dedicated to protecting and promoting consumer rights and interests in Denmark. It operates under the brand name Forbrugerrådet Tænk and functions as an independent source of consumer information, product testing, and advocacy. The organization publishes tests of goods and services, offers guidance on contracts, warranties, online shopping, privacy, and safety, and issues recalls and safety alerts. It also conducts price comparisons, budgeting tools, and guidance for sustainable consumption across sectors such as energy, food, and electronics.

Historically, Forbrugerrådet grew out of the Danish consumer movement in the mid-20th century and broadened its

from
public

European
sources.
It
is
governed
by
a
board
elected
by
its
member
groups
and
collaborates
with
other
consumer
organizations
in
Europe
through
BEUC,
the
European
Consumer
Organisation.
The
organization
also
interacts
with
Danish
authorities
to
promote
consumer
protection,
fair
trading,
and
consumer
rights.
