These closures can be implemented for a variety of reasons, ranging from planned events to unexpected emergencies.

Common causes for forútlezárás include road construction and maintenance, where sections of roadway are closed to allow for repairs, resurfacing, or the installation of new infrastructure. Special events such as parades, festivals, sporting competitions, or even filming operations often necessitate temporary road closures to ensure public safety and manage crowd flow.
