Foodgathering

Foodgathering refers to the collection of food resources from the natural environment. This practice predates agriculture and was the primary method of obtaining sustenance for most of human history. It encompasses a broad range of activities, including hunting animals, fishing in bodies of water, and foraging for edible plants, fruits, nuts, seeds, and fungi.
