Folyadékterének

Folyadékterének is a Hungarian term that translates to "fluid volume" or "body fluid compartment" in English. It refers to the total amount of liquid within a biological organism, particularly in humans and animals. This fluid is not a single, homogenous entity but is divided into distinct compartments based on its location and composition.

The primary fluid compartments are the intracellular fluid and the extracellular fluid. Intracellular fluid is the fluid found within the cells of the body, making up about two-thirds of the total body water. Extracellular fluid is the fluid outside the cells and accounts for the remaining one-third. The extracellular fluid is further subdivided into interstitial fluid, which surrounds the cells, and plasma, the liquid component of blood. Other extracellular fluid compartments include lymph, cerebrospinal fluid, and transcellular fluids.
