Folklorist
A folklorist is a scholar who studies folklore, the traditional beliefs, customs, stories, songs, and practices of a community. Folklorists analyze how these expressions are transmitted, transformed, and performed across generations, and how they reflect collective identity, social life, and cultural memory. The field encompasses narrative genres such as fairy tales, legends, and myths; oral poetry and proverbs; as well as rituals, material culture, games, and performance.
