Fluorescensangiografia, often abbreviated as FA, is a diagnostic imaging technique used in ophthalmology to visualize the blood vessels in the retina and choroid. It involves injecting a fluorescent dye, typically fluorescein sodium, into a vein in the patient's arm. As the dye circulates through the bloodstream, it reaches the blood vessels of the eye. A special camera equipped with a filter then captures a series of rapid photographs or a video recording of the eye as the dye travels through these vessels.
