Flatsides

Flatsides is a descriptive term used across several fields to denote objects or forms that have flat, planar sides rather than curved surfaces. It is not a single technical category, but a flexible descriptor applied in geometry, design, biology, and maritime contexts to emphasize an angular, boxy aesthetic or structure.

In geometry and modeling, flatsides refer to polygonal faces and polyhedra composed of flat surfaces. In computer graphics and 3D printing, the term is often used to describe models rendered with flat shading or faceted surfaces, producing a distinctly angular, low-smoothness appearance.
