Finansieringsrundene, or funding rounds, refer to distinct stages in a company's lifecycle where it seeks to raise capital from investors. These rounds are typically sequential, with each round building upon the success and growth achieved in the previous one. The primary purpose of these rounds is to provide the necessary funding for expansion, product development, operational scaling, and market penetration.

The early stages often involve seed funding, where nascent companies receive initial capital to develop their business plan and prove their concept. This is followed by Series A, where the company has demonstrated a viable product or service and seeks funding for further development and market entry. Subsequent rounds, such as Series B, C, and beyond, represent stages of significant growth and scaling. As companies mature, the funding amounts generally increase, and investors may include venture capital firms, private equity firms, and sometimes strategic corporate investors. Each financing round involves valuation negotiations, due diligence, and the issuance of equity or debt instruments to investors in exchange for their capital.
