Filmstrippar

Filmstrippar, meaning "filmstrips" in Swedish, refers to a visual medium that was widely used for educational and informational purposes, particularly from the mid-20th century into the late 20th century. A filmstrip consists of a sequence of still images, typically photographs or illustrations, printed on a strip of transparent film. These images are usually accompanied by a soundtrack, which might be on a separate synchronized record or tape, or sometimes printed text captions.

The primary use of filmstrips was in classrooms, lecture halls, and training environments. Educators and presenters would project the images onto a screen using a specialized filmstrip projector, advancing each frame manually or with a remote control. This allowed for a structured presentation of information, enabling viewers to absorb visual content at a controlled pace.
