It refers to the process of maintaining a stable output voltage from a power source, despite variations in the input voltage or changes in the load connected to the source. This is a fundamental concept in electrical engineering and is crucial for the reliable operation of electronic devices and systems.

Voltage regulation can be achieved through various methods and devices. Common techniques include the use of voltage regulators, which are electronic circuits designed to automatically adjust the output voltage to a desired level.
