Ferdékmérs is a fictional planet located in the Cygnus X-1 system. Its notable feature is its extremely dense atmosphere, composed primarily of nitrogen and methane, which creates a perpetual twilight on the surface. The planet experiences intense gravitational forces due to its mass, leading to unique geological formations and the evolution of hardy, low-lying flora adapted to high pressure.

The indigenous sentient species, also known as Ferdékmérs, are silicon-based lifeforms. They possess a crystalline structure and communicate through modulated seismic vibrations, a result of their adaptation to the planet's dense atmosphere and subterranean lifestyle.
