Felpasserat

Felpasserat, also known as the European rabbit or the wild rabbit, is a species of lagomorph native to Europe and parts of Asia. It is a medium-sized mammal, typically weighing between 1.5 to 3.5 kilograms, with a body length of about 40 to 50 centimeters. The species is characterized by its long ears, which can be up to 15 centimeters in length, and its long, bushy tail, which can be up to 15 centimeters long as well.

Felpasserat is a herbivore, feeding primarily on grasses, leaves, and other plant material. It is a solitary animal, except during the breeding season, when males may form small groups. The species is known for its agility and speed, and it is an excellent jumper, capable of leaping up to 3 meters in a single bound.

Felpasserat is a seasonal breeder, with breeding occurring from March to May. The gestation period is about 30 days, after which the female gives birth to a litter of 2 to 10 kits. The kits are born blind and hairless, and they are cared for by the mother until they are about 4 weeks old.

Felpasserat is listed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List, as it has a wide distribution and a large population. However, habitat loss and fragmentation, as well as hunting, are potential threats to the species.
