Feendmember

Feendmember is a project of Japanese musician Yasuhisa Kara, also known as Melt-Banana's Akiko Kanazawa. The project began in 1996 and is primarily a solo endeavor, with occasional guest appearances by other musicians.

Kara's music in Feendmember is characterized by its eclectic and experimental nature, blending elements of noise rock, electronic music, and avant-garde styles. The project's work is often dense and complex, featuring extended instrumental passages and unconventional sonic approaches.

Feendmember released its debut EP, Inside Journey, in 1996. Since then, the project has continued to release music intermittently, often in limited quantities. In 2016, Feendmember's links between organizations wrote the critical compilation album The Bottom Shelf Sound Collection.

The project has explored a range of sounds and themes across its releases, from frenetic noise-rock to more meditative atmospheres.
