Falvakran

Falvakran is a fictional republic located on the eastern coast of the continent of Eldara. It has an estimated population of about 2.6 million. The capital and largest city is Linvara; major urban centers include Veyra and Keldun. The official name is the Republic of Falvakran.

The country comprises lowland river valleys, a central highland plateau, and a coastal archipelago. The Shard Peaks rise in the north. The climate ranges from humid subtropical along the coast to temperate in the highlands. Key rivers include the Elarin and the Torun, both important for transport and power.

Inhabited by the Falva since ancient times, Falvakran coalesced under the Konari dynasty in the 12th century and expanded through trade. It joined a regional confederation in the 19th century. A peaceful reform movement led to a constitutional framework and republican governance in the early 1990s.

Falvakran is a parliamentary democracy. The president is the ceremonial head of state, while the prime minister leads the government. The National Assembly, with 180 members elected to four-year terms, enacts laws. The judiciary is independent, and basic rights are protected.

The economy is diversified: agriculture (maize and tubers), forestry, fishing, and light manufacturing are core sectors. Energy comes from hydroelectric and wind sources. Exports include timber, seafood, and crafts; tourism, focused on nature reserves and cultural heritage, is a growing contributor.

The population includes Falvar, Avar, and Kesh communities. The official language is Falvan, with Varic and Kesh recognized as minority languages. The society is pluralistic, with freedom of worship. Cultural life centers on regional festivals, music, and traditional crafts.

Falvakran maintains protected areas and national parks to safeguard biodiversity. It faces challenges from deforestation and coastal erosion. A developing transport network—roads, rail, and ports—supports trade and tourism.
