Factorscharacteristics

Because it is not a widely standardized concept, its exact meaning depends on the domain and the author, but it generally connotes a mapping or linkage between inputs and observed attributes.

In data analysis and statistics, factors are often treated as independent variables or inputs, while characteristics refer to dependent variables, traits, or outcomes.
