Földhszivattyú

Földhszivattyú is a Hungarian term that translates to "earth pump" or "ground pump." It is not a standard technical term in English-speaking contexts. However, in Hungarian usage, it generally refers to a type of pump system designed to utilize the stable temperature of the earth for heating and cooling purposes. These systems are more commonly known in English as geothermal heat pumps or ground source heat pumps.

The fundamental principle behind a földhszivattyú involves circulating a fluid, typically water or an antifreeze mixture, through a network of underground pipes. During the winter, the fluid absorbs heat from the relatively warmer earth and transports it to a heat pump located in the building. The heat pump then concentrates this heat and transfers it to the building's heating system. In the summer, the process is reversed. The heat pump extracts heat from the building and transfers it to the fluid, which then dissipates the heat into the cooler earth.

Földhszivattyú systems offer a sustainable and energy-efficient alternative to traditional heating and cooling methods. They can significantly reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. The underground piping can be installed horizontally or vertically, depending on the available land space and geological conditions. The efficiency of a földhszivattyú is influenced by factors such as the ground temperature, the length and depth of the underground pipes, and the design of the heat pump itself.
