Expositionsgruppe
Expositionsgruppe, literally "exhibition group," is a term used in German-speaking museum and cultural-administration contexts to denote a team charged with planning, coordinating, and presenting exhibitions. The concept describes the collaborative work of curators, designers, conservators, registrars, educators, and often external specialists. An Expositionsgruppe typically handles the full lifecycle of an exhibition, from concept development and thematic planning to object selection, research, interpretation, and labeling. It also coordinates with production teams on spatial design, media, and installation, and with education staff to develop programs and public outreach.
Organizationally, an Expositionsgruppe may be a temporary project team formed for a specific show or a standing
In practice, the term is descriptive rather than a standardized job title; institutions may use different names
