Evapotranszporáció refers to the combined process of evaporation and transpiration, representing the transfer of water from the land surface to the atmosphere. Evaporation involves the conversion of liquid water into water vapor, primarily occurring from soil, water bodies, and other surfaces. Transpiration, on the other hand, is the release of water vapor from plants through their leaves, driven by physiological processes.

This dual process plays a critical role in the global water cycle, influencing weather patterns, climate regulation, and ecosystem dynamics. Evapotranspiration is influenced by several factors, including temperature, humidity, wind speed, solar radiation, and soil moisture. Higher temperatures and lower humidity levels typically increase the rate of evapotranspiration, as do strong winds that enhance moisture transport.
