Evaporiitit

Evaporiitit are a type of volcanic rock formation composed primarily of salt, primarily halite (sodium chloride), and often other minerals such as gypsum and anhydrite. They are also known as salt domes or salt plugs. Evaporiitit are formed through the process of salt diapirism, where underground salt deposits are subjected to pressure and heat, causing them to rise through overlying rocks.
