Eurofilm

Eurofilm is a brand of photographic film. It was originally manufactured by the Agfa-Gevaert Group, a German-Belgian company. Agfa-Gevaert launched the Eurofilm brand in the 1970s as a more affordable alternative to its premium Agfa film lines. The brand aimed to capture a wider market segment by offering a reliable, good-quality film at a lower price point.

Eurofilm was produced in various formats, including 35mm, 120 roll film, and sometimes even smaller formats like 110. The film stocks were typically color negative films, designed for everyday photography, travel, and casual use. While not always achieving the same level of fine detail or color rendition as its more expensive counterparts, Eurofilm was generally considered to be a competent and dependable choice for amateur photographers.

Over the years, the Agfa-Gevaert Group underwent several restructuring and strategic shifts. The production and branding of Eurofilm evolved with these changes. In some markets, the Eurofilm brand was eventually phased out or integrated into other product lines as the company focused on different market strategies. Despite its eventual discontinuation in many regions, Eurofilm holds a place in photographic history as a widely accessible film that enabled many people to capture memories.
