Agfa, short for Agfa-Gevaert Group, is a multinational imaging company headquartered in Mortsel, Belgium. Its origins lie in 19th-century Germany as a producer of dyes and photographic materials. In 1964, Agfa merged with Gevaert Photo-Product of Belgium to form Agfa-Gevaert Group, a company focused on imaging and printing technologies. The name Agfa continues to be used for its imaging brands and products.
