Etyyliesterit

Etyyliesterit are a class of organic compounds formed by the reaction of an ethyl group with a carboxylic acid. This process, known as esterification, results in the formation of an ester linkage (-COO-) and the release of water. The general formula for an ethyl ester is R-COO-CH2CH3, where R represents any organic substituent.

These compounds are widely used across various industries. In the food and beverage sector, many ethyl esters function as flavor and fragrance agents due to their characteristic fruity aromas.
