EthernetTCPIP

EthernetTCPIP refers to the fundamental networking technologies that enable communication across local area networks (LANs) and the broader internet. Ethernet is a family of wired computer networking technologies commonly used in local area networks (LANs), metropolitan area networks (MANs), and wide area networks (WANs). It defines the physical layer and data link layer of the OSI model, specifying how data is transmitted over cables like twisted pair or fiber optic. Ethernet provides the means for devices to connect and share resources within a network.

TCP/IP, or Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol, is a suite of communication protocols used to interconnect network devices on the internet and other networks. IP handles the addressing and routing of data packets, ensuring they reach their intended destination across different networks. TCP provides reliable, ordered, and error-checked delivery of a stream of bytes between applications running on hosts communicating via IP. Together, Ethernet and TCP/IP form the backbone of most modern networks. Ethernet handles the physical transmission of data within a local segment, while TCP/IP manages the flow of data and its delivery across diverse networks, including the global internet. This combination allows devices connected via Ethernet to communicate with any other device on the internet that also uses TCP/IP protocols.
