Eraclito
Eraclito of Efeso, known in the Greek tradition as Heraclitus, was a pre-Socratic philosopher active in the late 6th and early 5th centuries BCE in Ionia, in what is today western Turkey. Very little of his original writings survive, and our understanding comes primarily from later authors who quoted or referenced his fragments. He is often described as the author of a poetic, enigmatic, and sometimes contentious style.
