Epäreaktiivisia is a Finnish term that describes individuals or systems that exhibit a lack of strong or immediate emotional or behavioral response to external stimuli. This characteristic is often associated with a calm and measured demeanor, where reactions are less pronounced or delayed compared to what might be considered typical.

In psychological contexts, epäreaktiivisuus can manifest as a difficulty in expressing strong emotions, or a tendency to process situations internally before outwardly reacting. This doesn't necessarily imply apathy or a lack of feeling, but rather a different mode of emotional and behavioral processing. Individuals who are epäreaktiivisia might appear stoic, reserved, or slow to anger or excitement.

In a broader sense, the term can also be applied to systems or phenomena that are not easily perturbed or that maintain their state despite external influences. For example, a material might be described as epäreaktiivinen if it does not readily undergo chemical reactions.
