Ennetusel

Ennetusel is a fictional municipality situated in the northern highlands of Avoria, within the fictional Nordmark region. The name is derived from a local compound meaning "inner meadow" in an old language, reflecting its historic agricultural character.

Ennetusel covers about 62 square kilometers and sits at an elevation of 420 meters. The terrain includes mixed forests, rolling pastures, and a network of small streams. The climate is temperate with moderate summer rainfall, supporting farming and forestry activities in the area.

Historical records show settlement from the 12th century. The community developed around agriculture and a riverside mill. In the 19th century a narrow-gauge railway served the town, enabling grain and timber trade. Ennetusel attained self-government in 1861 and remains a small rural municipality.

As of 2022, the population was about 3,200, with a density of roughly 52 inhabitants per square kilometer. The municipal council has 11 members, and an elected mayor leads the executive. The municipality is part of the Nordmark district and collaborates with neighboring communities on regional planning and services.

The economy relies on dairy farming, crop production, forestry, and light manufacturing. Tourism centers on hiking trails in the surrounding forests and a regional Harvest Festival. Ennetusel is connected by regional road; a local rail spur stops in town, supporting commuting and logistics.
