Energiatühistamist

Energiatühistamist, also known as energy draining or energy vampirism, is a concept found in some New Age and esoteric belief systems. It describes a phenomenon where individuals are believed to deplete the vital energy or life force of others. This is often portrayed as an unconscious or sometimes intentional act, leaving the targeted person feeling fatigued, unwell, or emotionally drained.

Proponents of this concept suggest that individuals who engage in energiatühistamist may be doing so due to their own perceived lack of energy or an imbalance within their energetic field. The victims, on the other hand, are said to possess a surplus of this vital energy. Various methods are proposed for protection against energiatühistamist, including visualizing energetic shields, practicing grounding techniques, or setting energetic boundaries.

There is no scientific evidence to support the existence of energiatühistamist. The phenomena described are typically explained through psychological and physiological factors. Feelings of fatigue, emotional distress, or being drained can often be attributed to stress, lack of sleep, poor nutrition, underlying medical conditions, or interpersonal dynamics that are not related to any transfer of energy. In psychological terms, the feeling of being "drained" by another person might relate to an unhealthy codependent relationship or the emotional labor involved in dealing with demanding individuals.
