Here, bile from the liver and digestive enzymes from the pancreas aid in breaking down carbohydrates, fats, and proteins into their constituent elements. The remaining undigested material then passes into the large intestine, where water is absorbed, and waste products are formed into feces. Finally, the waste is eliminated from the body.
