Elladan

Elladan is a fictional character in J. R. R. Tolkien's Middle-earth legendarium. He is the elder son of Elrond and Celebrían and the twin brother of Elrohir. He is an elf of Rivendell, belonging to the house of Elrond, and is part of the West’s ruling line. Along with Elrohir, Elladan is depicted as active in the affairs of Rivendell during the later years of the Third Age, serving as a scout, messenger, and protector of his father's realm. The brothers are portrayed as close companions who share responsibility for defending Rivendell against the forces of Sauron and for gathering information in the surrounding lands.
