Elektrolitegyensúlyát refers to the balance of electrolytes in the body. Electrolytes are minerals that carry an electric charge when dissolved in body fluids such as blood, urine, and sweat. These charged particles play crucial roles in various bodily functions, including nerve signal transmission, muscle contraction, hydration, and maintaining the body's pH balance. Key electrolytes include sodium, potassium, chloride, calcium, magnesium, phosphate, and bicarbonate.

Maintaining the proper concentration of these electrolytes is vital for health. Imbalances can occur due to various factors, such as excessive sweating, vomiting, diarrhea, kidney disease, certain medications, or inadequate fluid intake.
