Elektrogalwanowane

Elektrogalwanowane, also known as electrolytically galvanised, refers to a process used to deposit a zinc coating on a metal surface through electrolysis. The technique provides a corrosion-resistant finish that is more uniform than traditional mechanical methods such as hot dip galvanising. In the electrolytic process a sheet of zinc or steel is submerged in an electrolyte solution, usually containing zinc salts. When an electric current is applied, zinc ions from the solution are reduced and form a thin film on the substrate, resulting in a coating thickness typically ranging from 5 to 30 micrometres.

The primary advantage of elektrogalwanowane is control over coating thickness and uniformity. The process is well suited for complex geometries, including automotive trim, electrical components, and architectural details. Additionally, it permits the use of primers and intermediate layers, which can enhance adhesion of paint or other surface treatments. Because the coating is so thin, it experiences less distortion and warping compared to thicker hot dip galvanised coatings.

Environmental and energy considerations also favour the electrolytic method. The process usually consumes less energy and emits fewer pollutants, as it avoids the high-temperature baths and chemical waste of other galvanising techniques. Consequently, elektrogalwanowane is increasingly adopted in contexts where sustainability and precise finish are valued, such as high‑end automotive manufacturing and precision engineering.
