Elektrijuhtmega

Elektrijuhtmega, also known as the electric eel, is a unique species of fish found in the rivers and streams of South America. It is notable for its ability to generate and discharge electric currents, which it uses for various purposes, including hunting, communication, and defense. The electric eel belongs to the family Gymnotidae and is closely related to other weakly electric fish.

The electric eel can produce electric currents of up to 600 volts and 1 ampere, which is sufficient to stun or kill small prey. These organs are composed of thousands of electrocytes, which are specialized muscle cells that can generate and control electric currents.
