Einwands

Einwands is a fictional rural municipality in the northern lowlands of the fictional country of Beloria. The municipality covers about 58 square kilometers and, as of 2023, has an estimated population of 3,200. The administrative center is the village of Mittelstadt. Einwands operates under a mayor–council system, with a directly elected mayor and a twelve-member council.

Geography and climate: The landscape is predominantly agricultural, with scattered deciduous woodlands. The Einwand River runs through the municipality, providing irrigation and a minor floodplain. The area has a temperate maritime climate, with mild winters and warm summers and regular precipitation.

History: The area around Einwands was settled in the mid-17th century, with a market village developing near the river. It expanded through farming, milling, and small crafts. In the 20th century, infrastructure improvements and regional integration led to population growth and diversification of the economy.

Culture and administration: The municipality hosts an annual harvest festival, Erntefest, and maintains a primary school and a volunteer fire brigade. Secondary education is provided in a neighboring town, and residents rely on regional bus services for commuting.
