Eemeren
Eemeren is a municipality in the Netherlands, located in the province of North Holland. It is part of the Gooi en Vechtstreek region and lies to the northwest of Amsterdam and north of Hilversum. The municipality was established on 1 January 2016 by merging the former municipalities of Kortenhoef, Loosdrecht and Nederhorst den Berg. It covers rural countryside and several water bodies, including the Loosdrechtse Plassen, a group of lakes that are popular for boating and nature recreation. The three towns—Kortenhoef, Loosdrecht and Nederhorst den Berg—are the main population centres, with smaller villages and hamlets connected by local roads.
