Ebbsfleet

Ebbsfleet is a town in the Thames Gateway district of Kent, England. It is located approximately 15 miles east of central London and 10 miles west of Gravesend. The town is situated on the north bank of the River Thames, opposite the Isle of Sheppey.

Ebbsfleet was historically part of the parish of Northfleet. It was developed as a new town in the 1960s and 1970s, primarily for the housing of workers at the nearby Thames Power Station. The town was designed by the architect Basil Spence and is known for its distinctive architecture, including the distinctive "Spence" blocks of flats.

Ebbsfleet has a population of around 15,000 people. The town has a variety of shops, restaurants, and other amenities, including a library, a community centre, and a sports centre. There are also several schools in the area, including Ebbsfleet Community College.

Ebbsfleet is served by Ebbsfleet International railway station, which is on the Thameslink route between London and Ashford International. The town is also connected to the national road network via the A286 road.

The town is also known for its annual Ebbsfleet Festival, which takes place in the summer and features a variety of events and activities for people of all ages.
