EXTEM
EXTEM is a ROTEM (rotational thromboelastometry) assay used to evaluate the extrinsic pathway of coagulation. In EXTEM, tissue factor is added to the blood sample to activate coagulation, and the developing clot is measured over time by changes in viscoelastic properties.
