E86
E86 is the internal chassis code used by BMW for the first generation Z4 Coupé. It represents the fixed-roof counterpart to the E85 Z4 roadster, sharing much of the same platform while offering a longer wheelbase, increased structural rigidity, and a more pronounced rear end to accommodate the coupe bodywork. The E86 was introduced in the mid-2000s and forms part of BMW’s E8x family of Z4 models.
