E60

E60 is a designation that can refer to several things. In the automotive field, the most widely recognized use is the chassis code E60 for the fourth generation of the BMW 5 Series, produced from 2003 to 2010. The E60 sedan is the four-door version of this generation, with its wagon counterpart designated E61. The generation introduced a newer design language and a range of petrol and diesel engines, and it was replaced by the F10 5 Series in 2010. The E60 platform also underpinned related models in BMW’s lineup, and several performance variants were offered, including sport-oriented versions and high-power gasoline engines.
