Dynamight
Dynamight is a modular hardware-software platform for developing autonomous systems. The platform combines a collection of hardware cores, sensor pods, actuator units, and a software stack designed for real-time control, perception, and planning. The core is a compact board with a multicore microprocessor, stackable I/O, and standard interfaces to support a range of sensors and motors. The accompanying software includes a middleware layer for inter-process communication, a real-time kernel, and libraries for simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM), state estimation, motion planning, and task orchestration. An SDK and simulation environment enable rapid iteration.
Origin and development: Dynamight originated in academic and maker communities in the late 2010s, with initial
Impact and use: Dynamight has been used in robotics education, research prototypes, and small-scale automation projects.
