Durchlasskondensatoren

Durchlasskondensatoren, also known as feed-through capacitors or feed-through filters, are electronic components designed to pass DC current while blocking AC signals. They are typically used in applications where it is necessary to suppress high-frequency noise or interference from entering or leaving a circuit through a power or signal line. Their construction involves a capacitor element that is electrically connected to a conductive element passing through the capacitor's insulating body. This configuration effectively creates a low-impedance path to ground for unwanted high-frequency signals, while allowing the desired DC current to flow unimpeded.

The primary function of a durchlasskondensator is to act as a filter. By presenting a low impedance path to ground for high frequencies, they shunt these undesirable signals away from the sensitive circuitry they are protecting. This is crucial in preventing electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio-frequency interference (RFI) from affecting the performance of electronic devices. The effectiveness of a durchlasskondensator is determined by its capacitance value and its self-resonant frequency. A higher capacitance generally provides better filtering at lower frequencies, while the self-resonant frequency indicates the point at which the capacitor begins to act inductively, potentially reducing its filtering capability at very high frequencies.
