Dupaxa

Dupax del Sur, commonly known as Dupaxa, is a municipality in the province of Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines. It is located on the southeastern part of the province, about 136 kilometers away from the provincial capital town of Bayombong. As of the 2020 census, the population of Dupax del Sur is approximately 14,185 people, making it one of the larger municipalities in the province.

The municipality is divided into 16 barangays, each with its own distinct culture and traditions. The terrain is characterized by rugged hills and mountains, with steep slopes and narrow valleys. The climate is generally warm and humid, with a dry season during the months of January to May and a wet season from June to December.

Agriculture is a significant contributor to the local economy, with rice, corn, and vegetables being the primary crops grown in the area. The municipality is also known for its natural resources, including timber and mineral deposits. The abundance of natural resources has led to the establishment of several small-scale industries, including wood processing and stone quarrying.

Dupax del Sur has a relatively simple and rural culture, where the majority of the population engages in subsistence farming and other small-scale economic activities.
