Drífandi
Drífandi is a term from Norse mythology. It is one of the Norns, the female beings who rule the destiny of gods and men. Drífandi is often depicted as one of the three primary Norns, alongside Urðr and Verðandi. Her name is generally translated as "the dripper" or "the falling one." This name is thought to refer to the dripping of water, a process associated with the weaving of fate and the passage of time. The Norns are responsible for spinning the threads of life, determining the length and quality of each individual's existence. While Urðr represents the past and Verðandi the present, Drífandi is often associated with the future, or the ongoing process of fate unfolding. The Norns reside at the Well of Urðr, beneath the world tree Yggdrasil, where they tend to its roots and shape the destinies of all beings.
